The Old Prison Cell
3ds max, Digital Fusion, Photoshop, VRay
February 2007

Hi guys.

This is the first time that I submited an image since I became one of the members in CG Society. Let me say that I am a little bit excited.

As you can see, this image describes us a prison cell. I wanted it to be very old so that It would look more interesting. At the same time, this simple personal project let me work on texturing and rendering. So, there is nothing special on modelling. It is not as complex as the other images in here. ( If we talk about modelling process... )

I started with modeling the room then I modelled the other things in the Cell.. I unwrapped every single object . The most diffucult one was the bed.

With the UV templates, I worked on texturing in PS. This process took longer than the others. I tried so many textures and played with different layers. I also created bump maps of the objects.

I rendered the scene with vray, which is great.. Fog effect was created by using scanline renderer with the same scene. (Vray went crazy when I wanted to use it)

Finally, I imported the final renders into Digital Fusion and changed the real color settings of the image a little bit. I applied "Glow" effect... That is all..

If you wanna criticize my image ( please do it ) ; be merciful..

Best Regards

Ozioz
